Over 12 Million Dollars Support Coming for CASE Dairy

The Ministers of Agriculture and Fisheries, and Education are expected to visit the College of Agriculture, Science and Education (CASE), on Friday (January 29), where they will sign an agreement to offer support of about 12.5 million dollars to boost the Dairy Unit at the College.


The support will take the form of a number of heifers being handed over to the institution, scholarships and bursaries for students of that discipline as well as funding for the improvement of the current dairy infrastructure at the College.

The ministers’ visit is to coincide with the annual College Founders’ Day activity which marks 105 years of agriculture education to the nation, taking place over two days, under the theme: Celebrating Our Legacy Creating Visions of Excellence.

The celebrations commences on Friday at 9am, with  the ministers touring the facilities at the intuition and viewing of some of the cutting edge research that will be on display. While Saturday’s events begins at 10 am with several presentations from distinguished alumnae, the cutting of the symbolic 105th anniversary cake, the prestigious OFANA scholarship ceremony and games in the afternoon.

All media coverage is invited for and at this historic event which seeks to underline the significance of agriculture education to the nation and some of the significant strides of the College.
