Summary of the Graduation Process

The following is a summary of the process for graduation:

Apply to graduate online through the portal when it opens in the semester immediately before your finalizing semester. Please note that applications cannot be submitted outside of the months of February and November.

When the Academic Board ratifies a student as having successfully completed a programme of study, a Recommendation for Award of Certificate/Diploma/Degree is sent to the Registry. The Registry conducts academic and, in conjunction with the Bursary, financial audits, to ensure academic requirements have been fulfilled and payments are current. Notification is then sent to the Office of the Registrar and Cashier’s Office of programme completion.

Visit your iSIMS account to ensure academic and financial clearance as soon as your programme is complete. Alternately you can visit the Registry or Bursary to get clarification of whether everything has been cleared for your participation in the Graduation Ceremony. Honour all final adjustments to registration and fees or other outstanding balances on your student account.

Visit the Graduation website to register for participation in the ceremony and to obtain information on academic dress and procedures.

Attend the graduation rehearsal at the prescribed time(s) and location(s).
